I better call the Movers L​os Angel​es well in advance so I can spend time listing all the great places to visit. The brochures are piling up in my camper van as I make plans for my southern California adventure. The next stop for me will definitely have to be “Angels Flight”, an LA Landmark with the name dear to my heart.

This whole transition seems like it will be more of a vacation than a move because the LA Mover​s will do all the hard work for me. I’ve been researching apartments and studios in California because my husband and I are contemplating an extended stay there on business. Our stay could be as long as three months or possibly six months. I found many websites online that showed beautiful pictures of the state and its magnificent cities. They were all enticing, like the Pasadena Apartments for Rent behind the Academy Theater. They’re so stylish it’s hard to choose and the locations are prime sitting in the hub of activity for theater and the arts.

I would love one of these Santa Monica Apartments for Rent but my budget may not be able to sustain that dream, at least not until I have a successful novel out there or a big movie deal. I’ll keep dreaming. It’s a lovely place to visit so I’ll look to see if there is a studio that can be rented for a week or two. A vacation in Santa Monica sounds wonderful. What would we do first if we lived there? I’ll decide that later. For now, I ‘m enjoying the tour of all the beautiful apartment complexes.

Most of my writing will take place in LA so I really need to focus my energy looking for the perfect studio or Los Angeles Apartments for Rent. I wish someone would make the decision for me! I know very little about the city but I love the housing availability.

I couldn’t believe the story and I was appalled as I read further  information on this Facebook site. If you love wild Mustangs then you owe it to them and to yourself to at least visit the group on Facebook to read what is happening to America’s beautiful wild horses. Maybe you can get involved in some way to help stop the senseless slaughter for merchandise.

Here’s the rundown on what internet news is reporting about this travesty:

Unique paintings on animal hides are being imported into our country. Even more startling than the idea that paintings are being marketed on animal hides is that the animals used are America’s own wild mustangs. A Russian amusement company called “Safari Mustangs” is behind this illegal activity. Rich Americans are being paid to hunt these creatures for sport at very high dollar payouts. The horses are killed in a very inhumane method. To preserve the hides, the mustangs are poisoned instead of shot. It is an agonizing death.
I’m so shocked at this because I can’t believe that any one values money or merchandise more than a living creature. Please visit their site to see if you can help at least share their message on behalf of America’s wild legacy.

Anyone can write a blog post. The spelling and grammar may not be perfect or it might be terrible. But it will still be a blog post. By the same token, anyone can write a review but not every one can write creative reviews automatically. It takes a little thought and effort to be creative for most while for the rare few talented writers, it is second nature. For those who struggle with creative writing, I offer some suggestions.

• Look around your immediate surroundings to find inspiration that comes from your daily life. If you choose topics about which you are familiar, then it will be easy to talk about those topics. The challenge comes at the point of incorporating the creative view of your daily life.
• Take a walk around your neighborhood then walk around your city’s downtown area and just observe everything. Carry a little notebook, pen and a digital camera/video recorder. Whenever you see anything that catches your interest, use the camera to take some still shots then turn on the video camera and let it run for one to two minutes. You’ll be amazed at what the camera captures and how it will inspire you to write very creative posts. Next, jot down a few notes or thoughts or ideas that come directly to your mind during this exercise. These notes will jar your memory when you sit at your computer to write later.

I’ll share some more ideas on creative writing but first take some time to practice these exercises to see what you create. I’d love to hear your comments and feedback.
